At Aarhus Vand we are very engaged in business creation and how to improve areas within the field of water supply. Therefore, we created the company DRYP together with MONTEM.
The solution
Dryp is intended to make complicated water data easy to use by monitoring the water infrastructure in real-time. To be able to do this, the company developed sensors which monitors the water and sends the data directly to the cloud. This way, water infrastructures can be monitored from all places via the Dryp Field App and data will immediately be sent to the cloud.
When the cloud receives the data, first it goes through a quality control and is put into perspective with previous data. Second, the AI finds data patterns and detects any inconsistencies or changes and, thereby, generates solutions for these. These data are then intended to boost the dialogues between stakeholders and help them make decisions based on the data of the water cycle.
Benefits of the sensors
The solution can help prevent overflow from sewers and will save the water supply companies millions to operations and maintenance of wastewater treatment as well as ensure a cleaner water environment.
The sensors can measure the water flow in pipelines and this way, they help water supply companies to figure out where the problems in the systems are. By localizing the problems faster with the help of the sensors, it also helps the operators figure out where to begin their work.
All in all, the sensors, and the entire process of using these, helps localise problems in the water systems which ultimately prevents overflow from sewer systems. It also helps save money as the operators will know where to put their work first.
Use
Dryp offers three different products, namely drainage, overflow, and stormwater sensors. Common for all three products is the sensors and the way they send their data directly to the cloud. The sensors are optimised for the challenging conditions in the water sector, which makes them perfect for monitoring the water levels in case of storms and, thereby, preventing overflow.
At Aarhus Vand we have a cooperation with the city Udaipur in India, and we have helped them to set up Dryp sensors. As an example, a sensor is placed above the lake in Udaipur where it measures the water level and sends important data to the water supply in the area to help them prevent water loss in their systems.
